Your Calling
What is God calling you to do? Stop despising what He's placed in your hands as if it has no worth and He is not big enough to use what the world sees as useless.
He's God and He is not limited by your qualifications, weaknesses, or lack of natural ability. It's not natural talent He's looking for but a yielded heart that chases hard after Him! One that is not concerned with the accolades of man but desires to point them to Jesus as they lift up His name!
The top qualifications for service? It's humility and a contrite heart, filled with the love of God, completely surrendered, bathed in His Word and submerged in His presence.
Prepare for His calling... not by honing in on your skills and perfecting your resume. The place of preparation is His Word and the Secret Place... it's in close proximity to the heart of God... where His voice can be heard and His heart can be felt. Where you are transformed into His image and become a reflection of who He is. No longer merely reflecting your personality and weaknesses but His glory, strength, character and love!
Stop working hard to make yourself into a vessel of service for His Kingdom. Give Him what's in your hands and allow Him to use it powerfully for His glory!
1 Corinthians 10:31 (KJV) Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
Psalm 51:17 (KJV) The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
Exodus 4:1-5 (KJV) And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The Lord hath not appeared unto thee. And the Lord said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod. And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it. And the Lord said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand: That they may believe that the Lord God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee.
