Worship Your Way Out of the Storm

I Get it! There are so many distractions that bid for our attention. The enemy is constantly trying to hinder our growth and destroy our relationship with Christ. There's no new tactics. He'll bring pain, conflict, or bad news in many different forms and try to push the buttons that will bring him the greatest results.

Tomorrow... things will be better then, and we'll spend that much needed time studying our Bibles and seeking the face of God. When will tomorrow arrive? God's Word says in Matthew 6:34 (AMP) So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

There's no perfect time to draw closer to God and increase our knowledge of Him. It's a conscious decision that must be made, then it must be mingled with intense discipline. We cannot wait until the conditions are seemingly ideal.

Currently, I'm in the process of overcoming intense pain... so, I do get it! I get the temptation to focus on myself, rest and try to be as comfortable as possible...God understands...He can wait right??? Our victory is not found in catering to our feelings or desires. Victory is only found as He remains first, and our needs become secondary to pleasing Him! Though victory is not always experienced by immediate gratification... it does belong to us... The price has been paid, and we can count on it because it's promised in His Word! But I'll be honest with you, though I believe and receive it, that's not my focus right now! He promises that as we seek first His Kingdom and righteousness, He'll take care of the rest! So, my focus today is in Christ alone! I'm not just thanking Him for what He's doing in my life and the miracles I have and will experience, but I'm praising Him for who He is and what He means to me!!! He's already done so much in the work of the cross... He adopted us into His family, and we will spend eternity with Him!! Pain, suffering... all the diversions... they don't compare to the love, joy and peace I experience as my focus changes to His beauty and grace!!

If the enemy loses the battle in distracting you from your first love... He's lost the war he's declared in your life! You can't lose when your focus is Jesus and what pours out of you when squeezed is uninhibited PRAISE!!!

Yes! Declare and decree His promises! Have faith that He will do what He says! Then worship your way out of the storm that's brewing around you and the one that's been occupying the space in your mind!

Matthew 6:33 (KJV) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Hebrews 13:15 (KJV) By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

Psalm 34:1-10 (KJV) I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt his name together. I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked unto him and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.
