Undone & Unqualified

As I enter the presence of God tonight, I feel completely undone. I come repenting, my weakness in contrast to His magnificent glory.... the difference is so stark, it's alarming. I fall at His feet... what have I to offer? Broken fragments that have been beautifully reassembled by His love and grace. A mind that knows so little of the things of God... how can it conceive such beauty and love? As I go to pray, I feel that even my words are inadequate... how can they describe how I'm feeling?

There's so much more to God than our minds can comprehend. My worship fails to describe His grandeur nor the appreciation that overflows from my heart...

Yet, here in His presence... in the midst of my fractured human existence...I know that I'm loved... deeply and noncomparitively loved and adored. Not because I've achieved any resemblance of perfection. Not because of my accomplishments, let's face it, we could achieve nothing of worth without His anointing and the guidance of His precious Holy Spirit...my closest friend... All that we have to offer Him was first given to us. We have nothing of ourselves and certainly nothing of value to brag about.

It's in humbly knowing that we are nothing in and of ourselves, yet by faith, declaring that we are strong, courageous, able, holy and powerful, because of the blood that was shed, the name that is above every name, the adoption through Salvation, the promises of His Word and the Baptism and anointing of His Spirit! Though I know I'm nothing I also know I'm a threat to the enemy, deeply loved and transformed by the power of the Holy Ghost! There's nothing I can accomplish of my own ability... yet...I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME!

Do you feel undone and unqualified? Good! Now God has something He can work with. Pliable clay, ready to be molded into a vessel He can use for His glory. Don't run away in shame...run to Jesus and allow Him to change your heart, life and nature. His ways are great and where He's leading is amazing. The path may get rough at times, but don't lose heart! You're never alone and as long as you keep clinging to His arm and trust in His Word, you'll come out unscathed...but definitely not unchanged!
