Trust in Jesus

Psalm 56:3 (TPT) But in the day that I’m afraid, I lay all my fears before you and trust in you with all my heart.

How many times have you not done something you really wanted to do out of the fear of others? I think about being a child and in school we may want to share something but we are afraid of what our classmates may think. For some, this fear continues on well into adulthood. On the contrary, have you ever been bold and shared something that you had on your heart (still a bit scared) then afterwards realized how grateful you were that you did because it helped someone else? I admit that even when I am writing a message for church or writing a devotional to share, the enemy will always put thoughts in my mind and try to get me to change or twist the purpose of my message. I am continually casting down those thoughts and pushing on toward the Word of God. I cannot give in to what the world wants to hear, I must share the raw truth with everyone.

The truth of Christ is what sets people free from their sin, bondage and addictions. Even in the face of fear, move forward with what God has called you to do. Don't even worry about what others may think. Many of their thoughts are out of their own pain and possibly false beliefs or teachings. If what you share is in line with God's word and He directs you to speak, then there is nothing you can do to change an outcome or reaction. We must share in love and as the Spirit leads, because over-sharing at the wrong time is possible. But sharing the love of God with those who are hurting, praying for those that need healing, helping those that are weak, laying hands on the sick and speaking truth into the lives of people is what we are here for. What greater purpose is there in life than to help others and share the love of Christ to grow God's kingdom? Trust in God and allow Him to guide you through your day.

Proverbs 29:25 (MSG) The fear of human opinion disables; trusting in God protects you from that.

Psalm 9:10 (TPT) May everyone who knows your mercy keep putting their trust in you, for they can count on you for help no matter what. O Lord, you will never, no never, neglect those who come to you.
