The Provision of the Lord

The provision of the Lord is not dependent upon the world's economy, man's strategies, degrees, earthly wisdom or manipulation. The provision of the Lord is strictly divine in nature, supernatural & miraculous. In 1 Kings 17 Elijah told Ahab it would not rain for years, of course this meant drought and famine was on the way. God told Elijah where to hide, east of the Jordan. The Brook Cherith provided the water he would need to drink and God sent ravens to provide bread and flesh morning and night. When the brook dried up, God sent Elijah to a new location where a widow, whom was poor and preparing for death, would provide for him. Elijah told the widow to Fear Not (in the midst of a famine and hopelessness), and commanded her to make a cake for him FIRST then prepare some for her and her son. Because she honored God first and provided for Elijah first, she did not run out of the meal nor the oil AND she was promised the meal and oil would not run out until it rains again (bringing the famine to an end). God's promises are more than enough to provide for your every need! No more complaining, no more whining, stop circling the mountain. Climb the mountain with the Lord. Walk in obedience, keep Him first in your living and your giving and He will absolutely provide for you in the most amazing ways regardless of the world's economic system and set of circumstances. He is more than able! Do you trust Him in this way today? It's time to grow in our faith and believe for the supernatural to be our natural way of living. Psalm 18:33 (AMPC) He makes my feet like hinds' feet [able to stand firmly or make progress on the dangerous heights of testing and trouble]; He sets me securely upon my high places. 1 Kings 17:3-4 (NKJV) “Get away from here and turn eastward, and hide by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan. And it will be that you shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.” 1 Kings 17:8-9 (NKJV) Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying, “Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.” 1 Kings 17:14 (NKJV) For thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘The bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry, until the day the Lord sends rain on the earth.’
