The Power to Transform Your Life
As I sit here in His presence, I'm overwhelmed and amazed at the love I feel... It's so easy to go through life and the busyness of each day, fulfilling our own agenda and wondering why God feels so distant. He doesn't play favorites. He's a good Father that loves all His children... but have you gotten close enough to realize it lately? Have you delved into His Word and studied His Heart? Have you tarried in His presence, worshipping Him until Holy Spirit floods your room, then remain there and invite Him to overwhelm you with His love?
As your focus is turned from all the issues in your life and your attention is fully given to Jesus, there's a change that takes place in the atmosphere. Impending doom, depression, anxiety, and fear can't remain there. It's impossible to look intently into His eyes and still feel the effects of the world. The Secret Place of His presence is where we are hidden from the attacks of the enemy. It's under His shadow that we find comfort and peace. There's no other place to find it but in the life and promises that are written out in His Word and the warmth that's felt under His wings.
There are so many things that will temporarily distract you from your pain, disappointment, and issues. It can be simply playing a game on your phone, scrolling through social media, shopping, food, drugs, sex, and alcohol. But none of this can fix your problems, they just divert your attention for a moment and some of these things have the potential to make things worse in the end.
Don't waste a precious moment worrying and fretting over things that only God can change. Pray, give it to Him, and press in until you realize, He really does care and wants to handle all of it!
It's a new year, seek Him like never before! He has the power to transform your life!
Psalm 91:1-4 (KJV) He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely, he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
