Spiritual Breakthrough
Do you ever feel like you've spiritually hit a brick wall? Like your growth has somehow been stifled? As Christians we should always be moving foreward, learning more about our Savior through His Word and desperately pressing into deeper depths of His glory. There's always more of Him to experience and definitely room for growth. But what about those seasons where we are still seeking God the same way we always have, but now we feel like we are on a treadmill instead of running the race He's called us to run?
With each new dimension of glory there's new baggage that must be shed. There's breakthrough ahead, but in order to emerge from our box of limitations, we must humbly come to God with a heart of complete surrender and repentance. Letting go of every obstacle and crucifying our flesh of the sins that hold it captive. It can be anything from gossip and attitudes to hatred, lust and thoughts of murder. The Lord is calling the church to holiness. There's no more time to entertain the evil desires of the flesh. We must purge ourselves of anything that displeases the lover of our soul. You won't realize how much your sin has controlled you until you're free from it.
Maybe in order to get to the next level, He's simply calling you to turn off the television and spend more time with Him. Just reprioritizing your time can make a world of difference.
Don't hold back any longer. He's calling you to deeper depths of His glory and whatever we must shed to get there will be worth the sacrifice.
So... today.... ask God what it is that's holding you back, then as He reveals it to you, take the necessary steps to change and draw closer to Him. There's nothing you can't overcome with a willing heart and His strength to get you through.
Spiritual breakthrough will not only change your life, but also those around you. Allow Him to do a deep work within your soul that overflows like a fire in your bones that cannot be contained!
2 Corinthians 3:18 (TPT) We can all draw close to Him with the veil removed from our faces. And with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into HIS very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another. And this glorious transfiguration comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
Jeremiah 20:9 (NLT) But if I say I’ll never mention the Lord or speak in His name, His word burns in my heart like a fire. It’s like a fire in my bones! I am worn out trying to hold it in! I can’t do it!
Hebrews 12:1-2 (TPT) As for us, we have all of these great witnesses who encircle us like clouds. So we must let go of every wound that has pierced us and the sin we so easily fall into. Then we will be able to run life’s marathon race with passion and determination, for the path has been already marked out before us.We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because His heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be His, He endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God!
