Rise & Walk!

Stress, anxiety, turmoil, insanity! Feeling overwhelmed by life and the struggles that come with it can be the norm for many people. Many have accepted the lie that this is the way life is supposed to be and they try to cope with depression through medicine, cope with loneliness through social media "likes," cope with insecurity by posting false images of their "happiness" to win the approval of man. What a miserable life this must be! Yet, millions of people are living their lives in this virtual reality and never really facing the facts.

God loves you! He is waiting for you to stop the madness and get before Him with a true heart of repentance. You are praying for God's peace in your life but God is waiting on your obedience. You may be able to fool your Facebook friends with pictures of your smiling children, your perfectly angled selfie, and images of your picture perfect meals, vacations, magazine cover home, but deep down you go to bed at night empty. Yes, I am speaking to you - the ones who suffer from people-pleasing. The Martha's that feel the need to keep on working when we need to be sitting at the feet of Jesus listening intently to His words of life. Yes, I am speaking to you - the Peter's who say you love Jesus but only offer lip service. When the pressure is on and your enemies are before you, you are saying Jesus who?! Yes, I am speaking to you - the man at the pool of Bethesda, sick and hurting for 38 years, complaining that you have no one to put you in your place of healing. Jesus is asking you, "Do you want to be made well? Then Rise, take up your bed and WALK!" Stop wallowing in your sorrows and stop looking for others to pity you. God is not mocked and God can see right through your shallow heart. Stand up for Jesus, do what is good and right, ask boldly and believingly before the throne of grace and watch God perform miracles for you as you walk out in victory!

Get Up and Go! Rekindle that flame for Jesus, He is worth every bit of your time! I proclaim healing over you, power and authority through Jesus Christ and devastation to the kingdom of darkness! The enemy is defeated and we are the victors in Jesus Name!

Luke 10:38-42 (NKJV) Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.” And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”

John 5:5-9 (NKJV) Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, "Do you want to be made well?" The sick man answered Him, "Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me." Jesus said to him, "Rise, take up your bed and walk." And immediately the made was made well, took up his bed, and walked.

James 1:5-8 (MSG) If you don’t know what you’re doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You’ll get his help, and won’t be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought. People who “worry their prayers” are like wind-whipped waves. Don’t think you’re going to get anything from the Master that way, adrift at sea, keeping all your options open.
