Revealing His Glory

We often hear about the glory of God in messages and videos online but I wonder, are we really grasping the full meaning of His glory? You may hear the word glory and think about Moses on the mountaintop or maybe the baptism of Jesus. I believe there is so much more we can learn about the glory of God. In the Old Testament it is mentioned that when the glory of God filled the house, the priests could not even stand up to minister. This is a great example of the tangible presence of God. It's a heaviness that fills the room and there are times when you feel like you are glued to the place you are sitting, standing, or laying.

It's not a heaviness of oppression or the feeling of stress, it's a heaviness from the weight of God's presence, a good feeling of heaviness; one you don't want to dissipate. In the Amplified Bible, the book of John mentions seeing the glory of God and describes it as an expression of God's excellence. I love being in a place where things are done with such excellence that you may say, "this is glorious!" When everything is done so well, not necessarily perfect, but well. Excellence is doing the best with what you have. If you have a little bit of faith right now, use it to the best of your ability and see God's glory! Even in the small things, we can see Him being magnified.

I love to sing worship songs about His glory and when His presence enters the room, it's definitely tangible. What are you doing today that will reveal God's glory? If you are struggling to find an answer, spend some time in worship today, give Him thanks for everything He has done for you. Allow Him to speak to you and fill you with more of Him as you empty yourself of you. There is nothing else like it!

2 Chronicles 5:13-14 (AMP) Singers were to make themselves heard with one voice praising and thanking the Lord, and when they raised their voices accompanied by the trumpets and cymbals and [other] instruments of music, and when they praised the Lord, saying, "For He is good, for His mercy and lovingkindness endure forever," then the house of the Lord was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not remain standing to minister because of the cloud; for the glory and brilliance of the Lord filled the house of God.

John 11:40 (AMP) Jesus said to her, "Did I not say to you that if you believe [in Me], you will see the glory of God [the expression of His excellence]?"

Isaiah 49:3 (AMP) And [the Lord] said to me, "You are My Servant, Israel, in whom I will show My glory."
