If Only...
When I get my life together, I'll serve the Lord.
If only I was smarter, I'd study my Bible.
If I felt better or wasn't so busy, I'd spend time in prayer.
If I was gifted, I'd use my gifts for Jesus.
If I knew God's Word, I'd spread the Gospel.
If I wasn't so shy, I'd tell people about Jesus!
If I had more money, I would give my tithe and offerings...
What's your excuse for not moving forward in seeking Jesus, studying your Bible, ministering to others, and living a life of humble obedience?
The first thing we must do in surrendering our lives to Him is to get ourselves out of the way. You see, God's plan for your life isn't based upon your ability, strengths, or weaknesses. He is waiting for you to give up the reigns and prioritize your time with Him... that's it... that's the first step... to realize that your life does not belong to you and your joy, fulfillment and peace can only be found when you've traded your desires and dreams for His!
Stop waiting for some day to activate the anointing that's been provided for you. Your Salvation is a free gift, but there is a price for the anointing, and it will cost you everything... but don't fear, it's an uneven trade, it's giving your nothing for His everything! In Jesus you'll find everything you need for life and victory!
Repent of your past obstinance and let this be the day that you make a conscious decision to put Christ first and fervently seek after Him. You were created with a purpose, and you will not feel complete until your step into it! It's not too late! Take the first step and actively keep moving in His direction and piece by piece, His plan will unfold. By His Spirit you will become fully equipped to fulfill the destiny He has designed just for you!!
2 Corinthians 6:1-3 (MSG) Companions as we are in this work with you, we beg you, please don't squander one bit of this marvelous life God has given us. God reminds us, I heard your call in the nick of time; The day you needed me, I was there to help. Don't put it off; don't frustrate God's work by showing up late, throwing a question mark over everything we're doing.
Matthew 6:33 (NLT) Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (TPT) Have you forgotten that your body is now the sacred temple of the Spirit of Holiness, who lives in you? You don’t belong to yourself any longer, for the gift of God, the Holy Spirit, lives inside your sanctuary. You were God’s expensive purchase, paid for with tears of blood, so by all means, then, use your body to bring glory to God!
Luke 12:47-48 (MSG) “The servant who knows what his master wants and ignores it, or insolently does whatever he pleases, will be thoroughly thrashed. But if he does a poor job through ignorance, he’ll get off with a slap on the hand. Great gifts mean great responsibilities; greater gifts, greater responsibilities!"
