How Great is Our God!

Psalm 147:5 (TPT) How great is our God! There’s absolutely nothing his power cannot accomplish, and he has infinite understanding of everything.

How can we describe one who is indescribable? As I sat on the beach looking out at the vast expanse of the ocean before me, my view was great, yet it was still limited because I could not see past the horizon. This alone made me realize how small we are compared to the work of His hands. His beauty, love and magnificence is indescribable! The way He cares about the details of our lives is incomprehensible. His love for man... it’s beyond our human understanding! My heart is full of gratitude and ecstatic appreciation for what He's done for me and for what is yet to come! Compared to the universe, eternity and the great scheme of our existence, we may feel rather insignificant at times. Yet, that's not how our God, the creator of it all sees us. I'm amazed at His love and the care He takes in balancing our lives. He maps out the paths that we are to take and the lives we are to touch along the way. Even when we falter or wonder from His plan, He still incorporates our mistakes into the big picture as we repent and get back on course. Who is this God we serve and how can He love us in the midst of our human frailty, ignorance and at times rebellion? This God who withheld nothing as He sacrificed His only Son just for a relationship with US!! How!!? Why!!?? Who are we that you are mindful of us!? It’s just too much to comprehend! The more I experience His presence and taste of His goodness, the more I realize... I know nothing and the more I desire to surrender it all to the one who sees past the horizon into our future. He's the God of love that can do anything, knows EVERYTHING and withholds nothing!! How great is our God! He is so worthy to be trusted, adored, worshipped and praised!! Psalm9:1-2 (TPT) I will worship you, Yahweh, with extended hands as my whole heart erupts with praise! I will tell everyone everywhere about your wonderful works! I will be glad and shout in triumph. I will sing praise to your exalted name, O Most High. Proverbs 16:9 (NKJV) A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps. Psalm 48:1 (TPT) There are so many reasons to describe God as wonderful! So many reasons to praise him with unlimited praise! Isaiah 55:8-11 (MSG) “I don’t think the way you think. The way you work isn’t the way I work.” God’s Decree. “For as the sky soars high above earth, so the way I work surpasses the way you work, and the way I think is beyond the way you think. Just as rain and snow descend from the skies and don’t go back until they’ve watered the earth, Doing their work of making things grow and blossom, producing seed for farmers and food for the hungry, So will the words that come out of my mouth not come back empty-handed. They’ll do the work I sent them to do, they’ll complete the assignment I gave them."
