Holy Desperation

You’ve got to get desperate for Jesus! That’s how my deeper more intimate relationship with Him began…I was an intercessor, I saw incredible miracles and I loved the Lord with all my heart but time with Him wasn’t my priority. The consequences of that behavior were depression, anxiety, and anger. And through a series of events, I became desperate for change, and I realized, though I knew the Lord as my Savior, my healer, and my provider…I didn’t know Jesus as my Bride Groom and Lover of my soul.
I began to prioritize time just to seek Him and bless Him…That was a game changer for me. I would share my heart with Him as one would with the person they are closest to. I brought my petitions before Him for myself and others. But the relationship can't be one sided. I began studying His Word to better know and understand Him. I wanted to not just know His acts but His ways. To this day, as I enter His presence to seek and bless Him, His tangible presence floods the atmosphere until the air feels thick and it's almost hard to breath. I weep in His Holy presence, it's overwhelming to me that He would not only take time to be with me, but He desires my presence!
He desires time with you. We write about the Secret Place in so many ways but I'm telling you, there's no joy or fulfillment unless time is prioritized for His Word and presence. There's no greater blessing than intimate time with the King of kings and the Lord of lords! It's a new year, engage in a new endeavor! Actively seeking to bless Him with your time, attention, worship, and adoration! Your purpose, peace, fulfillment, anointing, and effectiveness for God's Kingdom will flow from that place!!
Psalm 103:7 (KJV) He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
The Children of Israel knew about God, Moses fearlessly sought to know Him...I heard great things about my husband before I met him. I knew his acts. But once I really got to know him, it became much deeper and more intimate...I came to know his ways. Don't be satisfied with a long-distance relationship with God, just knowing about Him. Passionately seek to KNOW Him! It's the greatest privilege of our Christian lives! Don't miss it!!
Psalm 9:10 (KJV) And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
Psalm 63:1 (KJV) O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
Acts 17:27-28 (AMPC) So that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel after Him and find Him, although He is not far from each one of us. For in Him we live and move and have our being; as even some of your [own] poets have said, For we are also His offspring.
