His Soothing Comfort

Psalms 94:19 Whenever my busy thoughts were out of control, the soothing comfort of your presence calmed me down and overwhelmed me with delight.

I've had a natural tendency to overthink things. Not because I'm so intelligent, but as I've told you before, without my daily time with the Lord, anxiety beckons me. My passion for Christ doesn't come from great strength, it does require discipline, but it's actually desperation that chases me into His arms. As I enter His presence... it's His love that holds me there and continues to draw me in deeper...His peace mingled with such incredible love is intoxicating!

I'm so thankful for the trials and even the personal weaknesses that I've experienced that have taught me to cling to Jesus with everything that's within me! When distractions pull for my attention, the desperation is always there to bring His beauty, love and peace back into focus.

I know I'm not alone in having experienced out of control thoughts and the temptation to stress over the cares of life. How do I know that? Just look at the rate of drug addiction, alcoholism, and the dependency on anti-anxiety meds. I'm not judging anyone, that would be me without Christ. I can't imagine life without Him!

It's not just non-Christians that are experiencing these things, there are just as many that profess to be believers that are spiraling out of control. If your focus is on what's going on around you and the future trajectory of the world, yeah... it can get depressing! But in Christ... there's such hope and even excitement about being a part of Biblical Prophesy and History in the making! You see... He has a plan out of all of the chaos. What the enemy uses to destroy us will prosper for his sake if you allow it, but if we seek to see what God is doing the midst of it, you will shout out in victory!!!

You can even see God's hand in the current political condition of our country if you look for it. What the enemy meant for evil... has awakened the church and caused many Christians to repent and unite in prayer to such a degree that we are beginning to see the tide turn! Yes! A Holy desperation is awakening The Children of God and the greatest revival this world has ever seen will soon follow!!

There's no more time to be concerned about our own problems, stresses and anxieties. It's time to seek God and His will like never before and not only walk in His peace and strength, but share it with the world around us! God's got this and He is more than able to care for you, your family and your needs, no matter what the future holds! Stay focused on Him and the promises of His Word and enjoy His soothing comfort!
