Guilt + Regret

Have you ever felt like the mistakes you've made have disqualified you from your purpose? Maybe the fact is that sin or just poor decisions have taken you down a path that has led to a dark and lonely place. A place that you were not called to and your spiritual giftings have become unrecognizable.

You may feel far from God and your vision of Him is obscured by guilt and regret. He is not standing over you with anger and condemnation. It's quite the opposite. He stands before you with arms open wide. He's not shocked by our imperfections. If He were He would have never provided a way of escape through the shed blood of His Son.

It's not perfection He is seeking from you, but He does desire a repentant heart that can humble itself before God, admit their failures and cry out to the Holy Spirit for help, wisdom, direction, and restoration. A heart that realizes it's limitations and draws strength from the Word of God. One that is willing to put in the time and effort it will take to become the man or woman they were called to be and give Him all glory for who they become.

Don't waste another moment weighing your mistakes on a scale of impossible expectations but let go of your disappointment and let God be God in your life. Only He can heal and change your heart and form in you the desire to become what you were called to be. You are wanted, loved, necessary and designed with purpose! Step out of the trap of insecurity and condemnation and move forward into your unique and specifically designed destiny!

Philippians 2:12-13 (NKJV) Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV) For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

1 John 1:9 (KJV) If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Romans 8:28 (NKJV) And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

Proverbs 16:3 (NLT) Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.

1 Corinthians 2:7-9 (NLT) No, the wisdom we speak of is the mystery of God—his plan that was previously hidden, even though he made it for our ultimate glory before the world began. But the rulers of this world have not understood it; if they had, they would not have crucified our glorious Lord. That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.
