Everything We Need
2 Peter 1:3 (TPT) Everything we could ever need for life and complete devotion to God has already been deposited in us by his divine power. For all this was lavished upon us through the rich experience of knowing him who has called us by name and invited us to come to him through a glorious manifestation of his goodness.
God is so generous that He has already given us all we could ever need for life, it has all been deposited on the inside of us through the Holy Spirit. When we need comforted, He is there; when we need peace, He is there; when we need joy, He is there. As we grow closer to God throughout our journey, we learn more of His nature and His love for us and at times it can be overwhelming. When we realize how much He cares for us even if we aren’t reaching our potential, it causes us to draw near with a deeper passion for Jesus. As we go about each day doing our best to serve others, let’s remind ourselves that God has already given us all we need – we just have to activate what He has deposited in us, so our efforts in serving Him are maximized!
James 4:8 (TPT) Move your heart closer and closer to God, and he will come even closer to you. But make sure you cleanse your life, you sinners, and keep your heart pure and stop doubting.
As we continue to seek God, we will continue to find more of Him. It will also cause us to desire living a pure life to honor Him. When we have the revelation that He truly does have our best interest in mind when He tells us to let go of the things that hinder us, there will be no more doubting or double-minded thinking on our end - just absolute joy to say yes to God and so be it! This is the place joy reigns in our hearts and peace consumes our mind - the depth of the secret place with God. He is already there - waiting…
1 Peter 1:8-9 (TPT) You love him passionately although you did not see him, but through believing in him you are saturated with an ecstatic joy, indescribably sublime and immersed in glory. For you are reaping the harvest of your faith—the full salvation promised you—your souls’ victory!
