Do You Trust Him?
If we truly trust God with the details of our lives, why do we worry so much? If we know that our life is not our own, why are we continually trying to figure out what God's up to and grabbing it back out of His hands... as if we know better and our plans supersede His?
I guess the hardest part is that He's never early and usually wants us to trust Him until the very end. Things often look the bleakest right before the miracle and that's decision time. Do we really have faith or do we just hope it'll happen? As soon as it begins to look like it won't, do we complain and give up?
I'm afraid that much of the church has become accustomed to giving things up rather easily. It doesn't usually take a lot of pressure from the enemy to cause many to throw in the towel or take matters into their own hands. Either one has the potential to void out the miracle if you lose your trust in God.
There's incredible power in prayer! But it must be mixed with faith and tenacity. A tenacity that comes from a deeply intimate relationship with Jesus, one that knows God's Word and believes it regardless of how impossible it may seem. What is truth anyway? Is it what our senses tell us? Is the bottom line the doctors report? Is it what's in your check book or what people think of you? Let's think about that for a minute... who wrote the Book and created you and the universe? Who loves you with the greatest love ever known to man? Who paid the greatest price for your soul and health and who designed a tithe covenant that is attached to a promise of provision?
Let's stop relying on what we see, hear or feel and begin to live as though we are aliens in this world from a distant land... sons and daughters of a King who loves His children and takes great care in planning their future, leading them to it and provides all that it takes to get there. Stop worrying and begin to trust that Daddy cares and He's in control of the details of everything that concerns YOU!

Proverbs 3:5-7 (TPT) Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on Him to guide you, and He will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with Him in whatever you do, and He will lead you wherever you go. Don’t think for a moment that you know it all, for wisdom comes when you adore Him with undivided devotion and avoid everything that’s wrong.

James 5:17-18 (NLT) Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years! Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops.
