Thankful!

There was a time in my life when stress consumed me, and fear dictated my actions... but Jesus!

Maybe that's why I'm so adamant about leading others into the Secret Place. The place of surrender and complete intimacy with Jesus. There's so much I've experienced in His presence that I'm thankful for and desire to share. It's funny, but when I say I'm thankful... though I am grateful for all the tangible things, it's not what first comes to mind...

I'm thankful for the peace I find in His presence... even in the midst of trials and chaos. I no longer need to have it all figured out. I can rest in knowing that He has a plan and as I remain close to Him, I can hear His voice and follow His lead!

I'm thankful for the Love of Jesus that He so freely blankets us with. It's a warm covering of security in knowing that no matter how things appear, He has our best interest in mind and He's working it all out for His glory! His Word unequivocally testifies of this truth!

I'm so thankful that my life is not my own! I've tried it my way and I always messed it up. As I lift my feet and float upon the water, I yield to His current that leads me in the direction He desires me to go. For some, giving up control is difficult, but that all changes when you truly know Jesus and experience His love. You become so ravished by it, that you trust Him completely and there's nothing you wouldn't do for Him!

I'm thankful for the trials that have chased me into the arms of my first love! Every lesson learned and testimony that was developed! Oh, how thankful I am!!

I'm thankful that no matter what is going on around me... there's always so much to be grateful for. There's the shed blood of Jesus that washed away my sins, the stripes on His back that purchased my healing and His name... the name that gives us authority over every power of the enemy! I'm so thankful that His sacrifice made us victorious and more than conquerors! We are the head and not the tail!

So, even though I'm still human and sometimes deal with human situations and emotions... His presence is tangible and His love overwhelming. It always overshadows the flesh, as our focus changes from our problems to His glory!

Bless Him by telling Him what you're thankful for today!

Psalm 9:1-2 (ESV) I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.

Deuteronomy 28:13 (NKJV) And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.

Psalm 100:1-5 (TPT) Lift up a great shout of joy to the Lord. Go ahead and do it—everyone, everywhere! As you serve Him, be glad and worship Him. Sing your way into His presence with joy! And realize what this really means—we have the privilege of worshiping the Lord our God. For He is our Creator, and we belong to Him. We are the people of His pleasure. You can pass through His open gates with the password of praise. Come right into his presence with thanksgiving. Come bring your thank offering to Him and affectionately bless His beautiful name! For the Lord is always good and ready to receive you. He's so loving that it will amaze you—so kind that it will astound you! And He is famous for His faithfulness toward all. Everyone knows our God can be trusted, for He keeps His promises to every generation!
