Trust in the Lord
2 Kings 18:5-6 (AMP) Hezekiah trusted in and relied confidently on the Lord, the God of Israel; so that after him there was no one like him among all the kings of Judah, nor among those who were before him. For he clung to the Lord; he did not turn away from [faithfully] following Him, but he kept His commandments, which the Lord had commanded Moses.
King Hezekiah clung to the Lord and stayed faithful to His commandments. No other king of Judah was like him, he had complete trust in the Lord. Wouldn't it be wonderful for us to live this way? Rather than living in fear, worry and doubt, we can live confidently knowing our God will take care of us as we follow after Him (and not chase after the world).
During these last days, we may find ourselves wrestling with all the “what if’s” that arise and wonder how everything is going to work out and what our future will look like. Reading through the scriptures, I find comfort knowing that I don’t have to have everything figured out right now. It can be challenging to navigate through such unsettling times, but rest assured, God is faithful to lead us on that journey. As long as we put our trust and confidence in Him, we can live in peace. We may not know what tomorrow holds, but we do know Whom holds our future.
If you find yourself in a season of difficulty or anxiety, I pray you will do what Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages you to do – trust in the Lord with all your heart and seek His will in everything you do. He will never let you down.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT) Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
