Where is Your Victory?
Colossians 3:15 (AMP) Let the peace of Christ [the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him] be the controlling factor in your hearts [deciding and settling questions that arise]. To this peace indeed you were called as members in one body [of believers]. And be thankful [to God always].
Are you missing out on that inner peace? Do the distractions and struggles of this life seem to get the best of you and your time? Colossians reminds us that the peace of Christ is that inner calmness to those of us who walk with Him each day. This is the peace that we are called to as believers. We can be thankful to God for many things, especially our salvation, but are we accepting this peace He has given us? Have we taken the peace that is rightfully ours or are we allowing the enemy to steal our joy even in the midst of our storms? We are to always be thankful no matter what our current circumstances are. If we are living by our emotions and our feelings, then we will not be living a life of peace.
When you stand on the peace of God and fully trust in Him, then there is nothing that will get in your way of victory! We will go through trials and tribulations, these tests are only temporary as is this life. Will we remain strong and faithful till the end? Christ's resurrection gave us victory over the grave, death has been defeated, death has no sting, the enemy is defeated! If we are feeling down and depressed, we can look up to the heavens and proclaim the goodness our of God! There is nothing He wants more than to bless His children.
Are we walking in obedience or are we falling for the lies of the enemy? Let's pick up our cross and give God a sacrifice of praise - this means even if we don't feel like it, we worship Him! He is for us, not against us, He is the beginning and the end, He is the name above every name! Let's lift our heads and declare that He is good! Depression will NOT have a hold on us, oppression will NOT have a hold on us, circumstances will NOT change our everlasting God! Let's be thankful for all we do have and trust Him. He knows what is best for us and His plan is the only plan that keeps us living in victory!
John 14:27 (AMP) Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.]
1 Corinthians 15:55-57 (AMP) "O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?" The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin [by which it brings death] is the law; but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory [as conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ.
