He Makes a Way
Have you ever been in a situation where you had absolutely no way out? Completely stuck and surrounded by your enemies? The Israelites had this situation happen to them as Moses was leading them out of Egypt. They were finally released from Pharaoh and were headed toward their promised land when Pharaoh had a change of heart and they were surrounded by an army of men and chariots chasing after them. As they began complaining to Moses that they would have been better off living as slaves in Egypt, Moses assured them to not fear and just watch as God was about to rescue them. Even in the midst of their fear, whining and complaining, God showed up in one of the most miraculous ways. He instructed Moses to hold his rod out over the sea and the waters parted just long enough for the Israelites to pass through on dry land.
This was an incredible sign to their enemies! Not only did God save the Israelites but their enemies were all destroyed in the water of the sea. Once God's people were safe, the Lord had Moses stretch out his hand over the sea again and the waters joined back together, drowning every single Egyptian that was chasing after them!
Wow, imagine what it is that God wants to do for you in the midst of your storm. When you feel like you are trapped with no escape, God will make a way out to show His glory to all men. During your trial be conscious of how you are responding, give God thanks for the storm you are in because it means this is a perfect opportunity for Him to reveal His glory. When there is nothing you can do in the natural to get out of a bad situation, it's a set up for God to bring a miracle. If we could do everything we wouldn't need a Savior. We are in desperate need of the one true living God, are you hungry for more of Him or are you enjoying the misery of trying to do life on your own? There is no greater reward than living a life of obedience before our Heavenly Father. Keep your faith rooted and grounded in what He can do because our own abilities will not go far. Whatever your current storm may be, a work situation, a moral situation, a financial mess or a child that has gone off the straight and narrow path, stay grounded in the promises of God and keep Jesus at the center of your focus. He will never let you down!
Exodus 14:14 (TLB) "The Lord will fight for you, and you won't need to lift a finger!"
Exodus 14:29-31 (TLB) The people of Israel had walked through on dry land, and the waters had been walled up on either side of them. Thus Jehovah saved Israel that day from the Egyptians; and the people of Israel saw the Egyptians dead, washed up on the seashore. When the people of Israel saw the mighty miracle the Lord had done for them against the Egyptians, they were afraid and revered the Lord, and believed in him and in his servant Moses.
