If My People | A Call to Action!
It's interesting times we are living in. It's unlike anything we've seen in our lifetime. Though we as Christians are trusting that God is in control and will bring us through the fire unscathed, we must not allow that to keep us from hearing His voice and heeding the call.
God, in His mercy has allowed this time for us to seek His face as never before. This season has been ordained to shed light on our weaknesses, repent and refocus on what truly matters.
Where have you missed it in the past? There's still time for change. And that precious time is fleeting, so today, we need to decide what's truly important. All the things that were so precious to us in the past are being stripped away and all that remains is time. How are you going to choose to spend it? Catching up on the latest trends, programs and spending the rest sleeping and eating? Perhaps doing whatever it takes to calm your nerves and bring pleasure to your senses?
It's time to wake up! As the body of Christ we must come to the Lord with a sincere heart of repentance. Repentance for allowing uncontrolled sin to rule in some areas. It can be what's considered to be major evil or those "acceptable" weaknesses. Little white lies, gossip, pride, unforgivness, bad attitudes and selfishness. That includes being selfish with your time. Your life is not your own! It was given to you by God and you were redeemed by the blood of Jesus. No! You are not your own, yet we live as though it's a gift that we can manipulate any way we desire.
Use this time wisely. Get fit, not lazy, eat healthy, but most of all seek the Lord! Ask Him to reveal what's hidden within your soul. Repent and seek Jesus and His Word for the strength to become the man or woman of God He's called and created you to be!
Wherever you are in this Christian walk, you have not scratched the surface of who He is and what He can do in and through you! His power, love and grace is so much greater than our minds can comprehend. Repent and receive all that He has prepared for you! Now's the time! There's a world out there that is desperately waiting to see God's power manifested through His children. He's waiting to use you in a powerful way, but you must pay the price for Holiness, purity and uninhibited boldness and faith!
He never said, if the world would humble themselves, pray, seek His face and turn from their wicked ways... He said, if MY PEOPLE! That's us! It's time to repent, pray, humble ourselves and seek Him like never before! There's no more time to waste!
2 Chronicles 7:13-15 (TLB) If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust swarms to eat up all of your crops, or if I send an epidemic among you, then if my people will humble themselves and pray, and search for me, and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear them from heaven and forgive their sins and heal their land. I will listen, wide awake, to every prayer made in this place.
Revelation 2:2-5 (TPT) I know all that you’ve done for me—you have worked hard and persevered. I know that you don’t tolerate evil. You have tested those who claimed to be apostles and proved they are not, for they were imposters. I also know how you have bravely endured trials and persecutions because of my name, yet you have not become discouraged.But I have this against you: you have abandoned the passionate love you had for me at the beginning. Think about how far you have fallen! Repent and do the works of love you did at first. I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place of influence if you do not repent.
