Believe
What are you seeking? Are you looking around for things or people to make you happy? How many times have you been disappointed in another person or in a gift that you thought would make you feel complete? I believe many people that choose to end their marriage in divorce do so because they are looking for their spouse to fulfill their every need. People were never created to meet every human need. If so, we wouldn't need God in our lives. He is the only one who can make us feel complete, and make us whole. Friendships end because of unrealistic expectations. People leave their churches because they expected their pastor or leaders to meet unrealistic demands.
When you look for happiness for years and continue to find your search void, you must realize that there is much more to this life than temporary satisfactions. Have you completely surrendered your heart to Christ? If not, what is holding you back? Be completely honest with yourself and be transparent to God. Tell Him why you aren't committed to Him just yet. His will for you, is that you believe in His son. Once that is established, you can grow from there.
Knowing that Jesus was blameless yet chose to die for you and believing that He rose back to life so He could send the Holy Spirit to the earth to comfort you and give you a peace that surpasses all understanding is priceless. There is no condemnation in Christ but without him we are condemned. The good news is, receiving Him is just a prayer away, if you're willing to surrender. Allow Him to remove the weight of your sins from you. You cannot do this alone. You need Him more than you know. Once you surrender your life to Him and you allow Him to guide you through your pain and tears, to a point of victory, you will wonder how you ever lived without the assurance of heaven and healing. So what are you seeking? The benefits of Christ include joy, peace, trust, understanding, and everlasting love. Be brave enough to resist the enemy and strong enough to receive the love of Christ today.
John 6:28-29 (TLB) "What should we do to satisfy God?" Jesus told them, "This is the will of God, that you believe in the one he has sent."
Acts 16:31 (AMP) And they answered, "Believe in the Lord Jesus [as your personal Savior and entrust yourself to Him] and you will be saved, you and your household [if they also believe]."
Hebrews 11:6 (TLB) You can never please God without faith, without depending on him. Anyone who wants to come to God must believe that there is a God and that he rewards those who sincerely look for him.
John 3:18 (VOICE) No one who believes in Him has to fear condemnation, yet condemnation is already the reality for everyone who refuses to believe because they reject the name of the only Son of God.
