Fight!
If you knew you were going to war, you would do everything in your power to be prepared for victory. You would study your enemy, giving yourself the advantage of knowing their next move. You would bring weapons for protection against yourself and the innocent. You would be on high alert of the enemy's activity so you know when to attack. In case you have not realized it, we are in a war. This war is not against people in the flesh, rather a war in the spirit. A war that is fought in prayer, fasting, seeking the face of God and understanding the tactics of the enemy.
How much time have you spent preparing for this battle? Are you feeling defeated? The weapons are given to you, have you taken them? You have been given power and authority in Christ, have you been using it? If you feel like your life is in a complete mess, what are you doing to make it better? We live one day at a time, and each day, we must aim to do something more than the previous day. If you miss a step, get back up! The enemy will not play nice with you because you have a line of excuses. Take your weapons and prepare for battle! You are not weak because through our weakness, we have God's strength! The less we have to offer, the more God works through us and He gets the glory! Saying you aren't able or aren't good enough is never an excuse not to do something for Christ, it's the exact reason you must! When people see what we are doing, they know it's not because of our natural abilities, it's a sign and a wonder to them. Are you showing them Christ in you? Faith without works is dead, let's get into gear and move forward with our destiny! God is for you, who can be against you!?
Ephesians 6:10-12 (MSG) God is strong, and he wants you strong. So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way. This is no afternoon athletic contest that we’ll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels.
1 John 4:4 (MSG) My dear children, you come from God and belong to God. You have already won a big victory over those false teachers, for the Spirit in you is far stronger than anything in the world.
1 Peter 5:8 (MSG) Keep a cool head. Stay alert. The Devil is poised to pounce, and would like nothing better than to catch you napping. Keep your guard up.
