Ammunition for Your Battle
So, let's be real for a minute, we all have our issues. I deal with things that you may never relate to and you have issues that I may never understand. It's so easy to be judgemental or even be judged, because we just can't relate to each other. You may ask several different people for guidance, even share your deepest secrets, fears and hang-ups yet not get the answers that you need. Thankfully, we have a God that understands and He has the solution for every one of our problems.
One of the main ways God communicates with us is through His Word. These days it's pretty simple to search for the scriptures we need for our particular situation. You can Google for the ones that pertain to your need. If your dealing with anxiety, you can Google: anxiety scripture and it will give you an entire list on the subject. Have a broken heart or a sickness? Search for the scriptures that will bring healing. You can list drug, alcohol and even pornography addiction scriptures and they'll give you the Words that lead to your freedom. Your Bible is filled with the ammunition you need for your battle against any type of sin, problem or whatever you're needing to overcome.
When you find those scriptures online, don't just read them, write them down, then take some time to get into the Word and study them. What was that writer going through when they wrote those Words? Who were they ministering to at that time and what was their situation, sin or difficulty? What is God speaking to your heart through His Words? Is there something He's requiring of you in order to get the need met?
There's nothing new under the sun. What was written about in scriptures is what we still experience today. God's not surprised by your problems! He had already planned a way of escape for you way before you were ever born. He made sure that He included a scripture in the Bible that would relate to your need at any given time. His love transcends any pain, anxiety, problem or sin.
The enemy has plenty to say about your situation. If his voice is the only one you're listening to, he's got the upper hand and depression and despair will soon follow. Make sure you drown out his lies by filling your mind and heart with truth. Study God's Word, it will get you and keep you on the path to freedom, healing and spiritual growth. He's got a plan and it's hidden in His Word. Just open your Bible and find it.
