Lamentations 3:21-25 (TLB) Yet there is one ray of hope: his compassion never ends. It is only the Lord’s mercies that have kept us from complete destruction. Great is his faithfulness; his loving-kindness begins afresh each day. My soul claims the Lord as my inheritance; therefore I will hope in him. The Lord is wonderfully good to those who wait for him, to those who seek for him.
Are you seeking God? Are you waiting for Him? Where is your trust and your hope? I can promise you that putting trust in the One who created you and who knew you before you were in your mother's womb is the only way to walk in victory. This is how we live in a constant peace. Placing your trust in the One who is unchanging and everlasting is where you will find strength and confidence in Him. When we misplace our trust and begin to rely on other people to always do what is fair and what is right, we begin to lose hope because many people are led by their feelings and emotions which are ever-changing.
Someone may want to help you and grow close to you and then something shifts and they are no longer committed to what they promised. Finding people who are rooted in Christ can be hard to come by these days. When many are looking for opinions of others, they lose focus on the Truth of Christ - our rock, our salvation, our cornerstone. When we truly seek His face and not His hand, we find peace and joy and hope for better things to come. Assurance that He wants to use us and bless us for He is good to those who wait for and seek Him. What is it you are asking God for today? What are your current struggles? Is something hindering your walk with Christ today? Allow the presence of God to come and fill you up as you surround yourself in worship, praise, and adoration of His goodness. His love endures forever! If you have misplaced your trust and hope, then today make a change. Shift your confidence in man to confidence in God and what He said He will do and you will say no to stress, doubt, and fear. The enemy is defeated - let's live like we believe it!
Colossians 1:26-27 (TLB) He has kept this secret for centuries and generations past, but now at last it has pleased him to tell it to those who love him and live for him, and the riches and glory of his plan are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ in your hearts is your only hope of glory.
