You're Too Late!
Romans 3:23-24 (MSG) But in our time something new has been added. What Moses and the prophets witnessed to all those years has happened. The God-setting-things-right that we read about has become Jesus-setting-things-right for us. And not only for us, but for everyone who believes in him. For there is no difference between us and them in this. Since we’ve compiled this long and sorry record as sinners (both us and them) and proved that we are utterly incapable of living the glorious lives God wills for us, God did it for us. Out of sheer generosity he put us in right standing with himself. A pure gift. He got us out of the mess we’re in and restored us to where he always wanted us to be. And he did it by means of Jesus Christ.
Utterly incapable - that's painful because it's true. I cannot run my life without Jesus. I tried to do it my way for the first 20 years of my life. It was not fun. I did not know of God's love for me, His plans for me, or that there was so much more to life than just surviving while searching for true peace and happiness. Following Christ is such an amazing journey that brings peace to every storm, faith during trials, blessings when unexpected and comfort during sorrow. I have seen God do many wonderful things for others and myself that nothing in this world could ever convince me to turn away from God now.
If you want to tell me that God no longer heals people today, you've come too late - Jesus has healed me. If you want to tell me that women don't have a voice in the church, you've come too late - Jesus has anointed me to preach and teach. If you want to tell me that God doesn't speak to people today, you've come too late - He has spoken. If you want to tell me that tithing was only for the Old Testament, you've come too late - God has done more with my 90% than I ever did with my100%. If you want to tell me that we are supposed to live in poverty, you've come too late - through my giving the curse of poverty was broken. Jesus paid the price with His life - God will use any willing vessel to preach the Gospel, are you one of them?
Are you listening only to what others experience about God or are you experiencing Him for yourself? Do you know all of the Christian cliché's yet fail to actually live the life God is calling you to? Walking in absolute obedience to our Father is the only way to live if you desire to live a victorious life. Death has been defeated - what are you afraid of? He would not call you to something if it was not the best choice for your life. He knows what is best - let's follow Him with all our hearts, all our minds and all our souls so we can complete the call on our lives and hear "Well Done, Good and Faithful Servant!"
Galatians 3:28 (AMP) There is [now no distinction in regard to salvation] neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you [who believe] are all one in Christ Jesus [no one can claim a spiritual superiority].
Acts 2:17 (AMP) ‘And it shall be in the last days,’ says God, ‘That I will pour out My Spirit upon all mankind; And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, And your young men shall see [divinely prompted] visions, And your old men shall dream [divinely prompted] dreams.'
