Accept Life in Christ
Have you accepted life? Not the life we are now living and the evil in the world, but have you accepted eternal life with Jesus? Or maybe you have rejected life? Think about how you feel in a typical day. Are you bitter and angry, full of hatred, unforgiveness and resentment? Or are you joyous and at peace with God? You actually have the option to choose one or the other.
I know we all get angry and have all been hurt by loved ones at some point, but how have you handled the anger and hurt? Burying your pain is not a healthy way to live. It becomes poison to your soul. Christ died so you may enjoy your life on earth, not suffer through survival every day. I know the pain of rejection, persecution, and loss. I too, have been a victim of terrible lies that the enemy so easily convinced others of. I've had personal attacks come against me, my kids and my marriage. The enemy will do whatever he can, no matter how long it takes to get you to turn against God. That is his entire plan. To get you preoccupied with the garbage he throws in your path so your focus is no longer on your victory in Christ, but your feelings of defeat in your current circumstance.
What will it take to get you to surrender every area of your life to God? Many will wait until tragedy comes before they are searching for His absolute Truth. Some become angry at God before they make peace with Him. I promise you that the longer you wait, the harder your life can become. This doesn't mean becoming a Christian makes the troubles go away, but you will have The Comforter and Counselor with you through everything! The more you try to do everything in your own strength, the more stress you will be under and you can become so burned out on life's trials that you draw back from people and slip into a depression.
Do not allow the enemy to win any more battles in your life! Nothing is worth losing your joy! Give all of your cares and concerns to God, He wants to bless you and bring peace and restoration to your life. So I ask again, what will it take for you to surrender every area of your life to God? Rather than waiting for things to go wrong, take 10 minutes to pour your heart out to Him and let Holy Spirit comfort your soul. He longs to hear from you just as we long to hear and see our children each day. Is there anything really more important?
