Blessings of Unity
Philippians 2:1-2 (NLT) Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate? Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.
When people come together with a common interest and have the same heart, same vision, same values, and share the same overall purpose, they will accomplish great things! Now add Jesus in the mix (sharing His heart and purpose and not our own agenda), and great miracles can happen. As we partner with God and have unity in the body of Christ - WOW! - we can see supernatural events occur. It will be a sign and a wonder for those who are not believers to say, how did you do that?! And only God can get the glory because man alone could not do it.
I think about the story in Exodus 36 when the people of Israel gave more than enough to build the tabernacle. Moses actually had to tell the people to stop giving! Can you imagine?! We really cannot out-give God. Unity in the Church has been amiss for some time but I believe we can still see great things come to pass in these last days. I know many people have been fed up with lies and religion that they are searching for the REAL Jesus. When we come together and let go of our doctrinal differences, recognize that we all serve the same Jesus, then my friends, many miracles will happen. We can show the world what unity is and allow healing and restoration to begin in the church. As we heal, we can help others exponentially.
Psalm 133:1,3 (TPT) How truly wonderful and delightful to see brothers and sisters living together in sweet unity! This heavenly harmony can be compared to the dew dripping down from the skies upon Mount Hermon, refreshing the mountain slopes of Israel. For from this realm of sweet harmony God will release his eternal blessing, the promise of life forever!
Exodus 36:5-7 (NLT) They went to Moses and reported, “The people have given more than enough materials to complete the job the Lord has commanded us to do!” So Moses gave the command, and this message was sent throughout the camp: “Men and women, don’t prepare any more gifts for the sanctuary. We have enough!” So the people stopped bringing their sacred offerings. Their contributions were more than enough to complete the whole project.
1 Corinthians 1:10 (TPT) I urge you, my brothers and sisters, for the sake of the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to agree to live in unity with one another and put to rest any division that attempts to tear you apart. Be restored as one united body living in perfect harmony. Form a consistent choreography among yourselves, having a common perspective with shared values.
