He Will Remove Your Sins
Acts 3:17-19 (TPT) “My fellow Jews, I realize that neither you nor your leaders realize the grave mistake you made. But in spite of what you’ve done, God has fulfilled what he foretold through the prophets long ago about the sufferings of his Anointed One. And now you must repent and turn back to God so that your sins will be removed, and so that times of refreshing will stream from the Lord’s presence."
How refreshing! Despite what you have done, you can repent - say you're sorry, change your ways, and turn back to God and your sins will be removed. Then to top things off, you get to rest and be renewed in the presence of God! Did you catch that? No matter what you have done, you can repent and come back to God! Who else can say they love someone like that? They give their life for you and continue to forgive you even after multiple mess ups - as long as you come back to Him, He will remove your sins and you will be refreshed in His presence.
To me this is like being covered in filth for months on end and finally having the opportunity to soak and bathe and get clean - you feel like a new person after that bath. Once our eyes are opened to our sin, we may feel disgusted with ourselves because of the life we were living, but Jesus can take all of that away as we are born-again. He's the God of second-chances - and third and fourth for that matter.
Desire to do your best for God - you are a representative of Heaven when you receive Jesus - don't take that lightly. Strive to do everything in excellence - doing the best you possibly can with what you have. God will honor you as you live for Him and the blessings are never-ending. Peace, joy, contentment, the gift of eternity - then He does unexpected surprises just because He loves you.
I could not imagine living without Jesus, I know for sure that if I would not have gone to church that November day in 2006 I would not be where I am now. I was headed down a very dark road believing lies from the enemy about my identity and searching for acceptance in the wrong way. Today I am blessed beyond measure to know that I am a child of God and my sins have been washed away - how much greater can it be?!
