Work Unto The Lord
Colossians 3:23 (TPT) Put your heart and soul into every activity you do, as though you are doing it for the Lord himself and not merely for others.
When we work with the motive to please and impress others, we are guaranteed to feel like a failure and feel defeated. There is nothing we can do to please another human 100% of the time. However, when we work with a motive of pleasing our Heavenly Father, we don't have to be concerned with the thoughts and opinions of others. If someone does not like what you are doing, it's okay, let them know you are doing it for your Father who sees the bigger picture. We can only see bits and pieces of what God has us doing but He knows what we need to be successful in the end.
Everything we have, we offer it to God as a sacrifice and live obediently before Him. He will prepare a table for us before our enemies - we just need to continue working in the spirit of excellence like Daniel, and God will set us before those in authority who need the wisdom of God imparted to them. Don't ever think what you are doing is not good enough, God has us all on a unique journey as we borrow the earth for some time before our final destination. Our time here is but a vapor, may we all use it wisely and work unto the Lord in a spirit of excellence - feeding the poor, helping the orphans and widows, ministering to the hurting and fulfilling the high calling of Child of God.
Daniel 5:12 (AMP) "It was because an extraordinary spirit, knowledge and insight, the ability to interpret dreams, clarify riddles, and solve complex problems were found in this Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar. Now let Daniel be called and he will give the interpretation.”
Proverbs 22:29 (AMP) Do you see a man skillful and experienced in his work? He will stand [in honor] before kings; He will not stand before obscure men.
Matthew 25:35-36 (NLT) For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.
