Surrender All

Hebrews 12:28-29 (TPT) Since we are receiving our rights to an unshakeable kingdom we should be extremely thankful and offer God the purest worship that delights his heart as we lay down our lives in absolute surrender, filled with awe. For our God is a holy, devouring fire!

These verses are just gripping me today! God's kingdom is unshakeable - no matter what is going on, He is not caught off guard, He does not tremble when circumstances are unfavorable. We should respond to Jesus by surrendering our all to Him - our thoughts should line up with His thoughts, our love for others should reflect the heart of God and our actions should always show the character of God. Thinking about how great our God is, causes me to be in awe and reverence of Him. He is a devouring fire - this reminds me of a lion that is ready to devour its prey. The fire of God is all-consuming, only leaving behind what is absolutely pure. Our worship to Him should be sincere and genuine, leaving nothing back as we come before His throne. In His presence is the fullness of joy! May you come before Him today with awe and find joy as you completely surrender your everything to Him.

Psalm 16:11 (ESV) You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Romans 12:1 (TPT) Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies? I encourage you to surrender yourselves to God to be his sacred, living sacrifices. And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship.
