Worship from Love
John 4:21-24 (TPT) “Believe me, dear woman, the time has come when you won’t worship the Father on a mountain nor in Jerusalem, but in your heart. Your people don’t really know the One they worship. We Jews worship out of our experience, for it’s from the Jews that salvation is made available. From here on, worshiping the Father will not be a matter of the right place but with the right heart. For God is a Spirit, and he longs to have sincere worshipers who worship and adore him in the realm of the Spirit and in truth.”
I love that we don't have to be in a church building in order to worship God. We can worship Him throughout the day no matter where we are - our lifestyle should be an act of worship toward God. When we worship God in our heart - all that we do should bring Him glory. The way we talk, the way we dress, the way we behave (even when no one is looking), should all represent Jesus in a righteous way. We are called to be different from the rest of the world, if we blend in and marry the world then we cannot be recognized as Christians. Rather, we are seen as hypocrites and when someone is really struggling they won't desire to turn to us for Truth.
Romans 8:30 (TPT) Having determined our destiny ahead of time, he called us to himself and transferred his perfect righteousness to everyone he called. And those who possess his perfect righteousness he co-glorified with his Son!
Before we were even thought of by our parents we were first chosen by God. His love is too great to comprehend - the measures that Christ went through just to save us is a type of love that we will never fully understand on this side of Heaven. He took our place at the courthouse when we should have been labeled as guilty - He stepped in and said no, I will take the punishment for all of them. Even in the midst of our sins He loved us and grants us forgiveness when we repent before Him. There is nothing that can separate us from this kind of love!
Romans 8:38-39 (TPT) So now I live with the confidence that there is nothing in the universe with the power to separate us from God’s love. I’m convinced that his love will triumph over death, life’s troubles, fallen angels, or dark rulers in the heavens. There is nothing in our present or future circumstances that can weaken his love. There is no power above us or beneath us—no power that could ever be found in the universe that can distance us from God’s passionate love, which is lavished upon us through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One!
As we live a life of worship, allow it to come from the love you have for God - the gratitude you have for being forgiven, the thankfulness you have for the sacrifice Christ made on a sinner's cross - there is no greater love than this and out of our commitment to Him we should respond by loving other's as great as we possibly can.
