I Stand Amazed
I'm amazed at God's attention to the details of our lives. I just returned from accompanying my daughter to Destin, Florida. She and my son-in-law are beginning a new chapter in their lives.
A couple of months ago a friend asked them if there was any place they could move to, where would it be? They responded that they'd like to live in Florida. Since they had already sold there current home, they thought they'd test the waters and see if there were any jobs available in that area. My son-in-law answered a Facebook ad for a position. They weren't actually looking for anyone as qualified as he was, but he hit it off with the owner of the business and soon a position for his dream job in a beautiful beach community was created.
They continued praying for God's will and direction to lead them. The homes in this area were way out of their price range and the few they could afford were either damaged by a past hurricane or were selling within a couple of days, not giving them enough time to fly there and view them.
They met the potential new boss 2 weeks ago and met with a real estate agent. Most of the homes they had scheduled to see were sold before they got off the plane. It was confirmed that the job was amazing and the area felt like home...yet... there was no home to be found.
My daughter was in a women's prayer meeting a few days after returning home and a woman who knew nothing about their situation had a word for Tiffiny. She said, "Just as God has blessed you with the job, He will bless you with a home and it will pop up like popcorn."
I returned to Florida with her this past weekend for one last look for a home. Before we met with the agent, I told her that she may have to lower her expectations. They weren't going to be able to get everything on their list at their price. She chastised me and said, "Really mom! You wrote a book!!? I believe God will give us exactly what we are asking for!" OUCH!!! She was right! She had faith for it and trusted that this was God's will for them. I should have been supporting that. So, I repented and we prayed before we met with the agent, "God, I pray that you blow us away with this house you've chosen for them! I thank you that they will have no doubt that this is a blessing from YOU!"
We met with the agent and she told Tiffiny that she wanted to show her a new build in an amazing community. Tiff responded that they did not have time for a new home to be built...well guess what! The agent called the builder the day before... just to see if anything may happen to be available... that day they had made the decision to sell a house they thought they built as a display. They had just finished it and it had not even been put on the market yet... we drove into the community and knew it was it before we even saw the house! Pools, tennis courts, pickle ball courts, basketball courts, a full size fitness center, all mowing and landscaping included, 10 miles of bike and walking trails with covered bridges, a fishing pier in the bay, playgrounds, ponds, cobblestone roads and a general store all within the community!! Oh, and let's not forget a beautiful brand-new house! YES! Our minds were blown!!
God's timing was amazing and His guidance in the entire process was undeniable! Don't be afraid to pray and believe. He is a good Father who wants the best for those who keep Him first and seek His will above their own. The process from point A to B may be tiring and trying. These kids have had their share of trials, but as you persevere and continue to worship and trust God, you'll come out on the other side with a testimony of His goodness and a revelation of His love!
I know there's more to this story, He has a purpose for relocating them ... I can't wait to see it all unfold! Serving God is an incredible adventure!
He has an amazing plan for your life too. Don't let anyone quench your faith! Keep trusting and believing! When His plans and timing collide with a praying heart, full of faith...LOOK OUT!
Psalm 37:4-7 (NKJV)Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him;...
Matthew 9:29 (NLT) Then He touched their eyes and said, “Because of your faith, it will happen.”
Ephesians 3:11-21 (MSG) All this is proceeding along lines planned all along by God and then executed in Christ Jesus. When we trust in Him, we’re free to say whatever needs to be said, bold to go wherever we need to go. So don’t let my present trouble on your behalf get you down. Be proud! My response is to get down on my knees before the Father, this magnificent Father who parcels out all heaven and earth. I ask Him to strengthen you by his Spirit—not a brute strength but a glorious inner strength—that Christ will live in you as you open the door and invite invite Him in. And I ask Him that with both feet planted firmly on love, you’ll be able to take in with all followers of Jesus the extravagant dimensions of Christ’s love. Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its length! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights! Live full lives, full in the fullness of God.God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, His Spirit deeply and gently within us.
